Officials announce readiness to grant licenses for the sale of lottery tickets and to insure and register lottery tickets under current law. The measures cover licensing procedures and regulatory oversight to ensure compliance with lottery regulations.
The Commissioners for managing and directing the Lottery inform the public that listed individuals have run out lie counter for buying selling and dealing in Wicket or Chances or Shares not for information. No one is legally authorised to deal therein. Names and addresses follow. Signed by CHR and ROBT DEEY.
Dublin Corporation issues public notice for subscribing to a 120000 annuity loan with survivorship and rent charge on the city estate. He seeks continued support from friends and the public, listing a range of familiar medicines and wares previously associated with his shop as he shifts focus to engraving and printing services.
The Commissioners of His Majesty's Revenue have seized a quantity of tobacco at Port or town area after an attack on Revenue Officers. Armed men assaulted the officers and tried to seize the tobacco from stores. A reward of one hundred pounds is offered for capturing William Rodman or Redmond and others involved. Descriptions of the suspects are provided for identification.
The Lord Lieutenant offers a free pardon for any person involved in the noted outrage and murder, excluding James Sherriff, William Rodman, Redmond, David Halliday, and the actual murderer Walsh who must identify accomplices. Authority attributed to R. Hobart.
CUSTOM-HOUSE, Dunzin, 16th Augus, 1791. For Wessern trading to and from Waterford and Ross, a new lantern has been erected on the Towee of Hook. Lantern to be lighted from Sept 1 each night and continue daily, oil lamps and reflectors giving a larger, steadier light than the previous fire.
A new light house at Fort Licht will be visible on entering the harbor with a star-like appearance of first magnitude. It will be positioned above the others and show only the New Light above the fore. The light is to be illuminated on the night of September 2. This notice is issued for all concerned by order of the committee miners.
