Proclamation Offer Reward for Dublin House Raid Participants
By the Lord Lieutenant and Council of Ireland a proclamation is issued offering rewards for discovering and apprehending those who assaulted and broke into the House of Commons on April 5 1784. Rewards of 200 pounds for the first three offenders who are apprehended and convicted who advised incited or assisted in the offences. 500 pounds for the first three who advised or incited or aided in the offences. A royal pardon may be granted to those who reveal other participants. The Lord Mayor of Dublin and sheriffs are commanded to suppress unlawful assemblies and bring offenders to punishment. Given in Dublin April 6 1784 with signatories in attendance.
