Official return shows coal imports for Dublin from 5 January 1808 to 5 January 1809 totaling 237349 tons and from 5 January 1809 to 5 January 1810 totaling 164571 tons, a yearly decrease of 72778 tons. Thomas Harrison & Co claim to fulfill contracts with fidelity and punctuality and supplied regular customers during the scarcity at 15s to 20s per ton cheaper than elsewhere, offering a year round public supply from 4s at City-quay.
