Waterford escort captures three robbers near Dangan

In a Wednesday incident near Waterford Captain Mansorgh and a trio of carmen pursued four armed men who tried to rob them. They halted three suspects with help from the carmen, while the fourth fled with firearms. The captives were handed to the carmen bound for Muthinavat toward Kilkenny. The report credits the carmen with courage and prompt action. A Geneva journal also notes a new invention for the blind, a printing press enabling automatic text transmission, developed by Francois Huber and Claude Lachet.
