Dublin Gazette reports Lord Lieutenant Hobart proclaims dissolution of Parliament. The Parliament of this Kingdom is dissolved and Members of the House of Commons are discharged from meeting on the sixth day of June. Proclaimed at Dublin Castle on April 8, 1790 by command of his Majesty.

It records royal license for summoning writs and cites officials and signatories including Gibham, Cashel, Westmeath, Bedtire, Bellamont, Mont Cathet, Carhampton, Pery, Climmell, Beresford, Parnell, Blaquiere, Latouche, Monck Mason, Hobart, and Wolfe.
Fashionable chatter notes the Earl and Countess of Westmorland may tour the country including Lake Killarney. In six years several nobles, including the Earls of Temple and Webmerland, plus Dukes, are cited as visitors to the spot amid court and civic gossip.
A fragmentary report recalls an epidemic illness and a severe cough by the fourth or fifth day, disputes over a town execution, parish relief efforts for the poor, and drought fears. Neighbors express sympathy for the distressed and note rain as vital for crops, praising manures from horse shavings observed in Derbyshire, Shropshire, and Warwickshire.
