Catholic Petition in Dublin Opposes Church Veto
Irish Catholics gathered at Lord Trimbleston's in Dublin and drafted a petition to Parliament presided by Mr. Graund. They criticized the Catholic Board for inflammatory rhetoric and urged the Crown to protect Protestant state principles while addressing Catholic concerns. The document signed by clergy and laity demanded allegiance and dissolution of the assembly.
