Proclamation Against Popish Regulars in Ireland 1713
The Lords Justices issue a broad proclamation ordering authorities to seize John Burke, Dr Furney, Dr Nary and other Popish regulars and priests alleged to exercise ecclesiastical jurisdiction. It condemns unregistered priests, demands oath of abjuration, and assigns duties to magistrates and officers to apprehend, prosecute, and prevent papist assemblies and concealment.
