European political and military dispatches in 1712
A digest of overseas letters reports an imperial council plan to reform administration, ongoing sieges in Hungary and Denmark, Turkish intrigues, and Swedish and Prussian alliance talks. It notes Count Staremberg in Catalonia, Leyden updates on bombardments near Stadin, and Bolinbroke’s audience with the king plus Swede envoy negotiations, with Madrid and Paris glowingly detailing recent battles and public honors.
