Grand Fleet and Lisbon receptions headline coastal dispatches
A July dispatch notes preparations in Lisbon for the Portuguese royal party’s reception of the Duke of Ormond and Sir George Rook. It reports the Grand Fleet under Admiral Rook and land forces under the Duke sailed from Torbay, with later weather delays and ships engaging a French warship. Additional items cover Danish and Polish alignments, troop movements to Ireland, cargo values, and exchange rates in Dublin to London.
