Royal Irish Address Against Popish Pretender Rebellion
In Dublin on January 28 1715 the Knights Citizens and Burgesses of Ireland in Parliament assembled express detestation of a Popish pretender in Britain and vow defense of King George and the Protestant constitution. Lords spiritual and temporal pledge to defend the throne with lives and fortunes against the Pretender and his adherents. Follows details of assurances and the assembly of Parliament and notes on Scottish and English rumors of rebel activity and military detachments.
