Proclamation On Religion and Morality for Public Worship
The King proclaims a stringent moral and religious reform to deter vice and immorality. It orders judges sheriffs and officials to enforce Sunday observance, suppress gaming and bawdy houses, and punish blasphemy profaneness and lewd behavior. It commands ministers to publicize the proclamation and demand exemplary virtue from all officers and subjects.
