Berlin Dispatch Reports Whitworth to Hanover and Czar Mission
In a late August note Berlin reports M Whitworth minister to the King of Great Britain preparing to depart for Hanover and then lead a commission to the Czar of Muscovy. Hamburg notes the Czar arriving with 25 galleys off Mecklenburg, troops ready for embarkation, while Swedes abandon the Swynsund bridge and Norwegians cross into Swedish ground. Hague adds a detailed inventory of Ottoman spoil and a Vienna-printed relation of the battle near Salenkmen, with Allied forces under Prince Eugene moving to Futack and Austro-Turkish maneuvers along the Danube and Belgrade front.
