Greenland Ships and Privateers Reach Elve and Texel
Eighteen Greenland ships from Hamburg arrive in the Elve with 42 whales aboard. Twenty Greenland ships at Texel report the fleet sailed from the ice on August 18 and reached a rendezvous, then turned toward Rolland two days later. They confirm the capture of eight English ships by two privateers, one with 28 guns and one with 18, with a prize and the Lord of Promise retaken by the Vice-Admiral fleet.
