Humble Address from Parliament in November 1724
The 1724 Parliament addresses the king with thanks for his gracious speech promising peace abroad and prosperity at home. It commends the seamen’s bravery, pledges loyal support to the crown, and notes measures to secure public welfare, finance, and national strength. A later notice from Turin and Mondovi reports a robber’s trial and a French deserter, plus military policing and an approaching Potsdam audience.
