Port Mahon Combats a 36 Gun Spanish Privateer
Letters report His Majesty's ship Port Mahon of 20 guns and 130 men clashed with a Spanish privateer of 36 guns and 300 men near the Bay of Biscay. The fight lasted four hours, Port Mahon sustained 14 dead and rigging damage, then the ships separated as night fell.
