British Pacquet Reports Arrivals and Atlantic News
The Dublin Gazette notes a Saturday arrival bringing British packets and French Dutch and Flemish mails from Seville in May. Reports from Cadiz say Admiral Cornejo has not yet sailed due to contrary winds but should be ready near month’s end for the expedition. Dispatches from Leghorn, Madrid, and Venice cover Corsican armistice signals, Genoa mediation, and expectations of fleets and troop movements toward Oran and Algiers while trade with Persia and India expands and a Turkish conspiracy is exposed in Constantinople.
