Capitulation Demands at Tournay End Deal
Postscript from the Dublin Gazette reports the August 31 NS events at Tournay where French forces under Dolet sought capitulation after a brief bombardment. The proposed terms included religious provisions, troop and wagon movements, prize armor, prisoner exchanges, and surrender as POWs after three days, with hostilities resuming in the afternoon. Reprint notes Dublin printing by Edw. Sandys, 1709.
