Reports from Dublin describe measures of compassion by the Danish monarch, opening granaries in the capital to sell corn at lower rates for cash and credit. The city also notes local fires, accidents, and a sharp fall in grain prices as ships bring more corn from England.
Official notice from Dublin County details a dwelling break in at Simon Lawrants’s house in Portmarnock. Edward Doran and John Nelan are named as perpetrators. reward of five pounds per apprehended offender offered. Lord Lieutenant promises pursuit and delivery to justice.
A fragmentary notice states on Saturday the 5th of April in Kilcullen Bridge County Kildare a Letter Blank and several Promissory Notes payable to Cornelius Malone of Baltimore Butknee and a Lease draft. A Guinea reward is offered to the finder by Benjamin Bowen Dublin Corn Market or Ma Owen Kavanagh Kilcullen Bridge. Payment is due at all banks.
