Burn books and banish bookseller in royal edict
An April decree orders the burnings of the worst mis chievous books and sale of the rest for the poor. The bookseller is banished. The King and Queen attend Palm Sunday rites, Masses, sermons, and foot washing with the Dauphin and court members in the Royal Chapel at Versailles.
