From Clonmel to Dublin a busy gazette recounts hangings and punishments. Eight felons hanged in Clonmel, Magirus hanged at Kilmainham, a smith whipped at James Sinnot's Jephens Green, and a horse won the Curragh hundred pound plate. Fire at Mr. Lynch’s bake-house, reinforcement of Colonel Johnston’s regiment, and transport preparations dominate.
