Associate Justice Buy II. Sttttfiii ofPortland presiding, returned a verdict in favor of the plaintiff lute Friday afternoon. Action was brought by Emil Van Leu wee of Kiclimond against Clif-ford W. I*ray of Bowdolnham, for recovery of £MN paid for ^ pair of horses which the plain iff maintained had been represented to him as thoroughly sound, and he further understood that the defendant was to take baclt\ the span if not wholly satisfactory. His content iorP. was the defendant did not live up to his agreement and the jury evidently agreed with him for if rendered a veVdict in favor of Leu wee for his $31)0 with interest for six months computed at $9. a total of $309 for the plaintiff.
