Minister’s Rival Granted Divorce By Judge HainesNichols Charges He Was Put Out of Room by Disloyal Spouse.Frank M. Nichols, the Westport young man who named Rev. J, Hy’pkin Brown as co-respondent jn n divorce action against Chris-tobel O. Nichols of Westport, was granted a decree yesterday afternoon in a second hearing held before Judge Haines in the Superior court. The case was started last week but was continued because Jtidge Ila'mes desired additional evidence.Deputy Sheriff Edgar H. Perry testified yesterday that he went to the' - home of Mrs. Nichols and asked her about her separation from Nichols. The sheriff inquired if she would be willing to live withher husband again.“3 refused-to stay in the same room with him in Ryons Plains, so I certainly wouldn’t live with him in Westport.” the witness said Mrs. Nichols replied.jltwas alleged by Nichols that he Ti’k's ‘put out of his room by Mrs. Nichols after the Rev. Mr. Brown had gone to board at the Nicholshome. Nichols also declared hehad^seen his wife visit the mtnis-te.i^avTooni at night. Rev. Mr.Brown .was formerly rector ofEpiscopal churches in Norwalk and Byons Plain hut resigned as a result of the Nichols affair.
