Attorney John Boyd appeared In court this morning with his client, Ida E. Fuller, who asked for a di* vorce, and the restoration of her maiden name, from her husband. John W. Fuller. The charge was of cruel and Inhuman treatment. It was proved that Fuller had at several times assaulted bis wife, and on at least four different occasions had knocked her down. The divorce was granted, and the court gave her permission to use her maiden name, Ida K. Taylor. This is the first case in this judicial district where this action has been taken The law is new, and was passed by the last legislature.
