W. R, ESTES TO BE I*SUED FOR DIVORGEW. R. Estes, formerly manager of the Amarillo Board of City Development and recently manager of the Oklahoma State Chamber of Com-1 merce, will be sued for a divorce by Mrs. Avon Estes, Horace Phelps, of Denver, the attorney for Mrs. Estes, announced, Associated Press dispatches state.Estes lived in Amarillo several years and moved to New Mexico and later to Florida. The divorce suit will be filed at Castle Rock, Colo. Estes and his wife, the former Miss Avon Zahlten, of San Antonio, were j married in Detroit in 1925. The ' suit charges both mental and physical cruelty..A suit alleging Estes, “by fraudulent transactions and manipulations abstracted $4,922.44 for his personal use’' is pending in federal court against the Royal Indemnity Co., Estes’s bondsman when he was manager of the state chamber.
