They offered to sell the plat of 998 lots,* containing between sir and seven acres, at the.actual cost of land and improvement, viz., $19,841.88. Mr. Grundy said that much of the land was almost useless for burial purposes, the stone being so close to the surface. Mr. Xersoh made a motion to reject the proposition and spoke against it. He «aid that it was no proper place for aj cemetery. Mr. Williams said thafcJ something should be done immediately. Either a new cemetery must be purchased outside of town, or else this one should be bought or oloeed mp.
