Oallf, April 4.—(AP) William S (Bill) Hart said today in regard to any talk of reunion with hf» divorced Winifred Westover Hart, that ''If there ever had been a chance for a reconciliation with my wife, there would never have been a divorce.’* 'Hart, replying to statements in press dispatches from Now York, quoting his former wife as saying she would return to him If he asked 'her, said tht their dixorce is a matter of couit record, and it l« all closed as far as I am concerned/’ I regret that my former wife is opening the matter again,'* he added During all the proceedings I have remained quiet and allowed her to do the talking and it seems she is Htarting o»t again.Hart declined , to answer directly as to yhether he would ask his former wife tp return to /-him. He reiterated his first statement, asking if that were not enough. He answered the question with the com ment, I think so/'Hart was reluctant to talk except about ihis son.
