The relic letter from a serviceman in France notes movement and morale updates as part of wartime correspondence.
Paulson & Co grain handlers with elevators at Davidson Leveturn and Penzance will build a new elevator on the present site with a capacity of 86 000 bushels. The existing building will be split and extended to form wings, increasing total capacity to over 40 000 bushels.
About two hundred people attended a barn dance at the home of Mr and Mrs W N Ted er last Tuesday evening hosted for the new barn opening. Forty six motor cars brought guests as McNab Brothers and Myrick orchestras provided music amid Delco lighting and festive luncheon. The event ran until 4 a m and was praised as one of the district’s best gatherings.
In district court at Seskationa, J Pred Johosten Mat Behumich and Josph Alix, farmers of Bladworth, faced a suit. Evidence showed a prior land sale agreement with Alix, later leading to a mechanic's lien placed by Johnston against the property title in Alix’s name.
