Mrs Explen House Destroyed by Fire in Lovering Park
Fire struck the Expien property in Lovering Park at about 5 o clock on Thursday morning burning the residence almost completely. Mrs Esplen was away visiting and no fire had been left burning. Firefighters arrived quickly but could save only a portion of the front. The origin remains undetermined with the blaze starting in the kitchen as observed by a neighbor.

Inspector A G Cunningham of the Dauphin Manitoba Provincial Police will leave at month end to assume a new position in Winnipeg. Since 1920 in Dauphin he rose from sergeant under J H Martin to senior officer, earning a strong reputation for fair and diligent law enforcement and the respect of citizens and business leaders. His family will join him in a few days.

Charge of theft dismissed in Manitoba trial

Runaway Laundry Horse Strikes Electric Pole on Vermillion Street
A Steam Laundry delivery horse bolted down Vermillion Street North on Monday morning causing a collision with an electric light pole in front of T G Edwards' house. The wagon was badly damaged and the pole snapped at its base though wires kept the pole upright, limiting further harm.
