Slobodzian, supervisor of elementary schools, reported September enrollment of 916 to the local school board. The peak in the past 14 years was 932 in May 1936. Since 1934 September enrollments have not exceeded this year. Henderson holds 360 pupils in ten classes, Whitmore 331 in nine classes, Smith-Jackson 139 junior high students in five seventh grade classes. Beginning enrollments total 131 with 81 at Henderson and 50 at Whitmore.
