Local Couple Marks Sixtieth Wedding Anniversary
Mr and Mrs Robt McClernon celebrated sixty years of marriage with a family reception at their daughter’s home in Dauphin. Married September 4 1874 in Lorne County Ireland, they lived in Belfast for thirty years before moving to Canada in 1904. They have twelve children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, with many relatives in attendance and lodge members honoring them.

The Winnipegosis district mourns 76 year old John Leniuk born in Zaleczyki Austria on June 10 1864 He arrived in May 1902 and settled east of Winnipegosis He moved to town four months ago leaving a wife and three daughters Mrs Steve Marchenski Mrs Tom Shevchuk and Mrs T Nikol ak The funeral was held Tuesday September 4 from the Greek Catholic Church.

Marketing outlook brighter says McFarland on wheat surplus
John I. McFarland, general manager of the central selling agency of Canadian wheat pools, declared on his return from London last week that a shortage of coarse grains for stock feed would end the wheat surplus problem temporarily. Sifton Resident Dies After Heart Attack
Stephen Czuchry 46 was found dead a quarter mile from his home west of Sifton on Monday morning. Heart failure caused his sudden death after a Sunday walk during which he carried a gun to shoot hawks. ARC officials ruled no inquest. He leaves a wife, three sons Nick Metro John and four daughters Polly Mary Annie Lena. Interment was at the Greek Catholic cemetery in Sifton with Father Pelech presiding.

Golf Sports Day At Dauphin Country Club Highlights
About seventy players competed in an all day golf event at the Dauphin Country Club with an 18 hole handicap, driving, approaching and putting contests. Rain limited activities but prizes including golf balls were awarded and J L Bowman led with a 85 gross score after a playoff with A T Warnock and Geo Matheson. Miss E Code won stymie putting and Helen Bowman led the ladies driving.
