Pioneer Resident of Dauphin District Passes on Sunday
Flora Catherine Lee widow of Mar Lee died Sunday September 1 in Dauphin after forty four years in the district. Born Flora Cameron in Owen Sound Ontario she moved west to Minnedosa Manitoba then Dauphin in 1891. Survived by sons Ernest John Robert and Mrs Alec Neill fourteen grandchildren and a large circle of friends. Funeral Tuesday at United Church with Dr D K Burns officiating and Riverside Cemetery interment.

Mrs Elia Mae Meyers McDowell died Thursday afternoon at her Dauphin home. Born in Ancaster Ontario sixty nine years ago she came west to Rapid City in Issa then to Dauphin district in 1887 with her husband James McDowell. Survived by daughter Iva and four sons Robert Arthur Edmund and John with siblings in New York City and Saskatchewan. Funeral Saturday at Baptist church with Rev D Ritchie officiating and Riverside cemetery burial. Pallbearers named B C Goodichand T Little J S Oliphant Robin Moe Allister A Bennett and A D Smith.

Line Elevators Cut Grain Storage Rates
Country elevators and terminal companies filed tariffs with the board of grain commissioners to cut storage charges from one thirtieth to one forty fifth of one cent per bushel per day. The new rate took effect September 1, 1985.
