Saturday Store Closing Times Expanded By Council
The by law allows shops to stay open until 9 PM on Saturdays from this Saturday through year end, ending the eight month 6 o'clock closing rule. The change marks a first full year with 6 PM closing January to August and 9 PM closing September to December with additional 9 PM hours December 18 to 24. A Monday weekly closing remains in place except for the Christmas week in which Monday is observed.
