Outstanding Dauphin Horticultural Show Draws Large Display
The Dauphin Horticultural Society annual garden show at the skating rink August 26 27 drew record crowds with high grade fruit vegetables and flowers. Judges led by Prof F W Trodick and Mr J Connor announced winners in home grounds vegetable gardens and junior categories with special cups awarded to the Dauphin Agricultural Society hospital and local growers.

Governor General Unable to Visit Dauphin
Mayor Robson received a letter from A F Laschelles secretary to the Gov General dated August 21 1932 stating His Excellency cannot include Dauphin in the Western Tour. The Gov General thanks the town for the invitation and regrets the omission.

A six week School of Instruction will be held at Dauphin Armoury starting the first week in October. Those wishing to join should contact the officer in charge Lieut. Marshall Neal as soon as possible. An Advance School of Instruction for Signallers begins September 8 at 7.30 pm with Lieut. W. J. Easterbrook directing NCOs and men on parade at the Armoury. Signallers with advance certificates may take the refresher course.

Auto Crash Injures Three Near Ethelbert
Three people were injured in a Sunday night collision on No 6 highway six miles south of Ethelbert. Driver Father Kaminski, from Ethelbert, passed a car and collided head on with an oncoming Overland. John Tomchuk led the other car with two hurt passengers rushed to Dauphin General Hospital.

Sixteen year old Jack Gardner wins the Country Club Open, defeating Percy Eastman 6 up 5 to go to 80 total after an outgoing nine 38. He led the juniors with solid play and will compete in Winnipeg this week. Dan Wallwin wins second flight. Helen Bowman takes handicap, meets Mrs Vasbinder for open title.
