Public School Staff Members Return From Ontario Trip
Miss Gertrude Cooper and Miss Grace Shield of the Public School staff returned Wednesday from a summer holiday across Ontario. They visited Muskoka Lakes Peterborough Toronto and Niagara Falls and traveled home via the Great Lakes to Duluth. In Toronto they attended the World's Federation of Education Associations conference in August.

Minister Heenan Spends Day in Dauphin Visiting West
Hon Peter Heenan minister of labor in the Dominion government spent a day in Dauphin and Gilbert Plains. A civic welcome with Mayor J W Skinner and railway staff marked the visit. Heenan toured the district viewed crops and lake scenes and held talks with railway organizations. The Riding Mountain proposal for national park status was raised but received no definite position.

Progress on Cement Work at New Hospital Plant

Mrs Dane McCarthy of Ste Rose recovering from being run over by horses and will soon leave hospital.
