Cemetery committees approve caretaker and chapel plan
At a Friday night meeting of the cemetery committees for town and rural municipalities a resolution was adopted to appoint a permanent caretaker for Riverside Cemetery at a fair salary shared by both towns. Two thousand dollars will fund a caretaker residence, and all sale and burial revenues will be reserved to build a combined chapel and vault.

Curling Stones Sent to Beetham Dauphin for Winter Draw

Death by two ton stone crushes farmer at burial
John Kurczal, 1% miles from Valley River, was crushed to death Friday while burying a two ton stone. The stone fell as he dug a hole beside it. nine men spent three hours freeing his body. Dr. Rogers said he likely died at least an hour before discovery.

North wins Salter-Arnold trophy in tight country club final
In a closely fought handicap final at the Country Club, H. A. N. North of Bank of Commerce staff defeated Dr. W. J. Harrington on the 17th hole to claim the Salter-Arnold trophy. Curly McEwen Injured by Tractor Fly Wheel
Hugh A. McEwen son of John McEwen east of town suffered multiple fractures and bruises when his clothing became entangled in a tractor fly wheel during threshing. He received prompt medical care and was taken to Pauphin hospital where his condition improves. Curly previously managed the Country Club golf course at the lake.
