Rotary Carnival Draws Large Crowd Of Fun Seekers
The Koharian rotary carnival drew a large crowd over Thursday Friday and Saturday with more than a thousand on Saturday night. Bingo dominated attention as patrons tried luck at various booths. James McQuay won the 1939 Pontiac sedan drawn Saturday night after buying the ticket from Harry Dietrich. Five dollar attendance prizes went to Mrs. H Terry Evelyn Veal John McEwan. Carnival chairman Dorland Palmer and a long committee list organized the event.

Citizens and housewives are reminded that Monday October 9 is Thanksgiving. All sores and places of business in Dauphin will be closed. The post office wickets will reopen Monday morning from 9 to 12. The main office will be open to box holders all day.
