6th Annual Military Ball Staged in Colorful Setting
The Armoury hosted a formal 6th Annual Military Ball on a decorated evening. Guests included Lt Col O McGuirk and Mrs McGuirk, with officers Brisadier W G Beeman and Maj W Devey among the attendees. A Grand March opened the event, and Music Makers performed 28 classic military pieces. A Moorish tent lounge and late-night supper complemented the reception, with numerous gowns described among the attendees.

R C Brown to Retire Shortly from Manitoba Telephone System
The Herald reports Roland C. Brown district superintendent at Portage la Prairie will retire on January 1. A Dauphin native, he began in Dauphin and helped develop Manitoba. A lifelong Mason and church member, he served in the 1885 rebellion and is active as a speaker and historical contributor.

Man Co-Op Dairies Held Annual Meeting
The fifth annual meeting of Northern District Manitoba Co operative Dairies Ltd Dauphin plant was held in the town hall on Nov 23 1933. Delegates from Bowsman Tilston Brandon and Winnipeg districts attended. The year ended Sept 30 1933 showed improved cream receipts, butter and produce sales and steady ice cream sales with 30 butter samples exhibited at fairs, 25 winning prizes. Four directors were re elected Pope Poole Perepeluk and Hill with Elgin Maynard filling Boughen’s vacancy. The farmers own and operate the cooperative is launched for another year depending on producer support.

Sifton Man Given 2 Years for Burglary
John Zabinski of Sifton district was convicted last Wednesday of breaking and entering at Rzesnogki's store and stealing goods. He appeared before Magistrate Little and was sentenced to two years in the penitentiary. This was his fifth offence. C. S. A. Rogers, K. C., prosecuted for the crown.
