Airgraph Messages Gain Popularity in Canada
Postmaster A. E. Kedale notes the airgraph system started November 15 allowing Canadians to send letters to armed forces in Great Britain on 10 cent forms. Messages are photographed and reduced to film in Toronto then enlarged in Britain, delivering 5 by 4 inch prints to units. Only black ink should be used for clear reproduction.

United Church Minister Inducted in Dauphin
The Rev. Joseph A. Berridge was inducted as minister of the Dauphin United Church on Wednesday evening November 26. The service was led by Rev. Hyslop Dickson Gilbert Plains Rev. R. C. Matthews Ochre River and Rev. Harry Dodd Grandview, all of the Dauphin Presbytery Manitoba conference. The Dauphin Red Cross Women’s Work committee has sent 20 blankets 6 quilts and 36 dollars to Manitoba Red Cross since the drive began a month ago. They have also received 16 dollars since the last cheque. In all 52 items toward air raid victims in Britain, with another shipment planned before Christmas.

Szewczyk Reelected Reeve in Rural Municipality Vote
In Dauphin rural municipality election M. F. Szewczyk was returned as reeve with 496 votes to Elgin Maynard 182, a 314 vote majority. Ward 5 council race saw N. Bazylo win with 73 votes over W. A. Basaraba 51 and S. F. Ganezar 48.

Business Licences And Price Control Effective Monday
A Canadian wartime regulation requires licenses for all firms dealing in food seeds cloth clothing or footwear by Monday December 1. Milk bread and soft drink deliveries must record each sale with seller and buyer license numbers on receipts to be inspected by wartime prices officials. Price ceilings also go into effect on December 1 under the Wartime Prices and Trade board.
