Returned Men to Honor Remembrance Day
Remembrance Day falls on a Sunday this year prompting discussion on cenotaph service time. Next year the two minutes silence and short services will return to the eleven o clock hour. On Saturday the Dauphin district returned men hold their annual reunion with W V A hall opening at noon for out of town veterans and their ladies. A banquet at the town hall at 6 60 p m follows with A E Moore of Winnipeg as guest speaker. Sunday veterans assemble at the G W V A hall at 10 15 am for a parade to the Anglican church.

Pioneer John Lintick Dies at 69 in Dauphin
John Lintick 69 longtime Fairville district farmer and land settler died in Dauphin General Hospital after moving to Dauphin. Born in Wellesley Ontario he married Margaret Smith in 1889 and moved west in 1903. Survived by wife five sons James and a daughter. Funeral held at St Pauls Anglican with private family service. interment Riverside cemetery.

Funeral services were held in Farrells parlors for Joseph Clark 69 a former Dauphin resident who died of heart disease in Basswood. He came from South Harwich Ontario moved here 40 years ago and worked in the Dauphin area machinery business. He is survived by his wife one daughter Mrs Brandon Melville Sask two sisters and a brother. Burial in Riverside cemetery with Rev W Brailsford officiating. Pallbearers named Partridge Dagg Playford Mills Metz Symons. Services listed with memorial and peace meeting details.

The Dauphin Elevator Association led Manitoba Pool Elevators in grain handled and reported its best year since formation seven years ago at the annual meeting in the G W V A building. About sixty of four hundred shareholders attended as officials cited strong finances despite a poor provincial crop and noted five thousand dollars of surplus will aid drought distressed areas. Elected to the local board were President John Seal Vice President Harley Armstrong George Tucker Andrew Miller L D McKillop R H Brown and Wyman Arthurs with B F Boughen as Secretary W G A Gourlay named delegate to the Manitoba Pool Elevators annual meeting.
