Chas. D. Roberts, noted Canadian poet and nature writer, lectured at Dauphin under the Dauphin Collegiate in the McKenzie School assembly room. J. N. Mrs Agness Scarff died May 24 at her daughter’s home aged 84 years 7 months born in Toronto Oct 24 1843 maiden Burgess daughter of Squire Burgess magistrate of Wood Stock county. Survived by five sons and one daughter, twenty three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral at Grace United Church conducted by Rev F C Middleton and Captain White with Pallbearers Alex Paul John Ritchie Wallace Black Robert Cardif Archie Esplen Walter Locke.

Central Garage on Main Street North is bought by James Lathryon of Winnipeg who pledges full garage service and vulcanizing. George and Lorne Smith, former Central Garage proprietors, assume the Massey Harrie agency and operate from the town warehouse.

Tritschlers Move to Winnipeg for New Home
Mr and Mrs L J Tritschler and Miss Cressie Tritschler depart for Winnipeg to establish a new home. Mr Tritschler came from England 17 years ago and built a career in banking and law, serving as secretary treasurer of Dauphin General Hospital for 15 years.
