Five-Year-Old Wounded By Accidental Rifle Fire
Ardith Myers five year old girl of Gilbert Plains was accidentally shot in the right knee when a loaded .22 rifle on a car seat discharged. She was treated at Dauphin General Hospital and listed in good condition. The report notes three companions were present at the time. Three Dog Poisoning Incidents Reported Local

After months of delay the council signed papers leasing the airport and selling three hangars. No hangars will be kept by the town. three parcels No. 5 No. 3 and No. 1 will be sold at the war assets price with cleanup required after demolition. One hangar remains padlocked on the field at no cost.

Maple Leaf to Begin Main Street Asphalt in June
Maple Leaf Construction of Winnipeg told the council they expect to start hard surfacing Main Street from Fourth to Fourteenth avenues this June. The firm estimates 33 000 square yards at about 1.19 per yard totaling near 40 000, with initial prime coat and hot asphalt, weather permitting.
