Local Meat Market Break-In Loot Stolen From Saturday Cash
Thieves entered the Dauphin Meat Market on Main Street south through a rear window early Monday morning and removed all Saturday cash from the store safe. proprietor Pete Hyndiuk would not disclose the amount, stating only that the loss came from Saturday’s business. The safe was opened neatly and no mess was left in the office. Exit was via the rear door, found open by staff Monday.

Love Wins McMurray Medal At Dauphin Regional Festival
Larry Love of Dauphin, age 13, won the William McMurray memorial medal with 79 marks for Bonita on baritone horn in the 13th Dauphin regional festival. The eight day event featured music, poetry, drama and folk dancing with 2000 competitors and 535 entries from multiple towns, adjudicated by judges from Winnipeg.

Summer Temperatures Return to Dauphin Area
