A Manitoba drama entry titled The Re Key earned the right to advance from the local festival. Former Town Councillor John S Puchalski 79 Dies
John S Puchalski a 21 year Dauphin town councillor and longtime community worker died Friday at age 79. Born in Poland he came to Canada in 1897 homesteaded then moved to Dauphin in 1915 and ran a blacksmith business until 1946. He served on the parks board and led the Manitoba Blacksmiths association for four years. He is survived by his wife and ten children, with funeral at St Viator's Roman Catholic church on May 21.
