The Retail Merchants Asecemo held its annual meeting at the GWVA Hall on Tuesday evening. Secretary treasurer A T McPherson reported a bank balance of 121.75 as the year closed, and officers were re-elected with W G White president F T Wright vice president and K E McPherson treasurer. The group discussed Bargain Day sales to promote monthly cross merchants, plans for a Dauphin Businessmen's Credit Association, and monthly banquets. The meeting adjourned after noting debate on the June to August half-holiday and pending Town Council action on the petition for holidays.

Committed on Series of Charges in Duck Mountain Case
Napoleon Brazeau of Duck Mountain P O was committed for trial by Magistrate R Rae Roblin on charges of rape robbery with violence and theft and remanded on a further rape charge. Brazeau allegedly rode with a rifle demanding meals and other items as police pursued him. He was captured after shots were fired during a late escape attempt and is held at Gaoler Pearson's custody until trial.
