Dauphin Men Reported Safe After War News
Dauphin families celebrate Mother's Day with news of sons safe in England or home from war. Fit Sgt John Brock Folkersen arrived in England and spent leave with his brother as the cradle crew of 21 year old Sgt Folkersen and 19 year old crewmates are reported safe after a daylight raid crash. Pte Eric Day, 24, released and back in England May 10 after captivity since Dieppe. Frt Lieut Philip Gofton freed from a German camp after being missing since 1943. FL Gorton, 24, joined RC A F in 1940 and earned commission in 1941 before overseas service.
