Old Ball Park May Be Reserved For Sports Use

The town council agreed to reserve the ball park for sports use at no cost for five years following a petition of about 200 signatures led by D W Miller. A Manitoba Power commission plan would run power to Grandview Gilbert Plains No 10 SFTS No 7B and No 1 Relief aerodrome with standby service afterward, paying the town 416 16 monthly for maintaining its plant. The rate for the first 500000 KWH in a year is 3 cents per KWH and 2 cents beyond that amount. The pact lasts through the war or to March 31 1946 with one month’s notice to terminate. A bylaw grants the town full right of way for a water line across L W Ager’s farm.
