Forest fires threaten Duck Mountain Reserve spreading across regions
Dry weather and hot winds fuel a series of outbreaks across Porcupine and Big Woody reserves with fires near Swan River Lake Winnipegosis and Blue Lakes. Fire crews battled days against flames around Willard's Creek and a dangerous ice barrier hampers boat access. Some blazes may be man made to create work for firefighters.
