The Dauphin Little Theatre captured first place at the Northern Manitoba Drama League festival held May 2 and 3 in Dauphin town hall. The Valiant, The Lord's Prayer, and Too Many Mary's placed first, second, and third with adjudicator Mr. Robert Jarman praising staging, lighting, and performances.

Bowlers Re-elect Wick President At Annual Gathering
The Dauphin C N R A Lawn Bowling Association reelected M. Wick as president for a fifth year at its annual meeting in the town hall. New officers include D D McDonald as first vice president and E Bottomley as second vice president with W F Percy as secretary and J F Sheridan as treasurer. Committees were named with J Strachan heading property and grounds, Jack Symons finance, and M Wick membership. The season opens May 24 with an open mixed tournament and membership drive follows.

The Dauphin Country Club officially opened the 1935 season with a sports day on Monday drawing over seventy five golfers from Dauphin and nearby towns. J Gardner Jr won the grand aggregate and low gross 82 for 18 holes while Emerson White had low net 74.
