Memorial design chosen for soldiers' monument in town
A public meeting in Town Hall selected a design for a Great War memorial. The Renaissance pylon featuring Miss Canada will rise 25 feet on a raised concrete base near Station Park, with white marble panels and a Tyndall limestone pylon. The local architect H J Payton submitted the design and E Pilgrim of Dauphin will erect it. The committee was reappointed with power to add members.
