Dead Babe Found North of Town Near Dauphin Dump
Alf Pelcher reported a dead baby found in a cardboard box at the Dauphin dumping grounds one mile north of town. Dr. G. W. Rogers held a jury inquiry and a verdict of death by unknown causes was returned after a post mortem by Dr. R. E. Dicks. The infant appeared to have lived for some time, with deprivation hinted by the wrapping. Authorities continue investigating all surrounding circumstances.

Auto Registration Up From Last Year in Dauphin District
Registration of cars and trucks in the Dauphin district for the first quarter of 1935 is over double the 1934 figure. By April 20, car licenses reached 400, trucks 60, drivers licenses 483, and chauffeurs licenses 107, with increases of 128, 26, 248, and 34 respectively. The rise mainly reflects vehicle registrations by farmers due to license fee reductions from April first. Roads are drying and travel is becoming general despite recent rains.

Northern Manitoba hard courts championship dates moved
The Dauphin club set the annual Northern Manitoba hard courts championship for August 20, 21 and 22 to accommodate local teachers. Officers for the coming year include Ray Dicks vice-president Earl Chase secretary treasurer Brian McConnell grounds convenor Joe Grant membership convenor Robert Kidd tournament convenor and Mrs J E Delmage social convenor.
